You may have to look at the full size of this picture, but there is a squirrel in the bird feeder. Our dachshunds, Ruby and Roxie, saw this, tore out of the house through the doggie dog to get it...
...the squirrel leaped off the feeder and up the fence - but he didn't run away. He sat at the top of the fence looking down...
...that squirrel was bold. Every time the girls walked away, the squirrel came down to eat from the feeder, and Roxy would come chasing after it. After a while, Roxy just decided to camp out at the bottom of the feeder to protect her yard.
By the end of the day, they were exhausted and snored the night away.
